LOTUS

LOTUS is a quarterly publication dedicated to covering global social issues. Social justice, economic inequalities, environmental conservation and much more will be discussed in the context of works by local & global activists and artists.

We chose the name LOTUS because the lotus flower embodies what we want this magazine to represent. The lotus has its roots in the mud, its stem rising out of the water, and floating on the water, the lotus flower basks in the sunlight. Quite similarly, this magazine progresses in the same way.

It aims to explore issues that have their roots in the suffering and social injustice endured by women around the world. From this mud, the magazine hopes to rise up and bask in the enlightening and inspiring work done by various individuals and organizations dedicated to improving the capabilities of women everywhere.
