I have had a fascination with pin-ups since I was a child when I used to see drawings of them. I would laugh at the playfulness and innocence of the women for their imprudence which brought about the reason for their attire to be shown in a thought provoking way. I would like to attain the skills, knowledge, and ability that would elicit the same response that I got from those images. I have always wanted to shoot pin-ups, but from a completely different perspective. I have toyed with the idea of intertwining the old retro look of Betty Page and Jean Harlow and make them modern, yet elegant. I want to update their looks, to bring the pin-up into modern times by trying to make a modern women of today out of them, but with reluctance and reserve. And in doing so, I hopefully will give the pin-up the reverence it deserves. I will be giving a modern look to an time honored tradition.
