1984, my art gallery almost completed (http://henridurand.com/arc_00/ga01/00.htm) I took time off to use my newly built 8x10 skylight to photograph people from the street through my 8x10 linhof kardan b camera.

Now, these people are 26 years older; some are strangers which popped up for the shoot, others are friends, partners; each has been included in this book, kind of an homage to a period ending, the one being run over with high tech clothings, styles, brand names; they were part of a very small gang of street smart people, gravitating around the consumer pods already flowering through the cracks of a going out way of life.

I have chosen not to write a word about them, their lives or their relationships, since you can easily follow through the sequencing with your imagination.
